The ETI Research Brio Banana Connector is made from Tellurium Copper and Rhodium plated for not only superior conductivity but long-lasting durability to withstand day-to-day use in a wide variety of audio equipment. The housing is made from Brass for superior vibration damping and high EMI/RF noise rejection.
The Brio has been updated to further enhance it. The cable insert has been increased to 5mm which is the same size as the Brio Spade.
It now has a copper pillar to strengthen the banana connection section
It also has silver plated to the copper first then the Rhodium plated over which further enhances the sound quality
The Brio Banana is ETI Research’s banana plug connector, built around a Tellurium copper conductor and finished with a two-stage precious metal plating process: silver plated first, then rhodium plated over the top. The silver base layer carries the current with excellent conductivity, while the rhodium outer layer seals it against oxidation, so the connection stays tarnish-free and sonically consistent for years of regular use.
At the tip, a dedicated copper pillar reinforces the banana connection point. Rather than a single piece of machined copper, the conductor and pillar work together to add mechanical strength exactly where the connector meets the binding post, without introducing extra resistance or capacitance into the signal path.
The Brio Banana cable insert has been increased to 5mm, now matching the Brio Spade, making it easier to terminate thicker cables securely and giving a firmer grip once installed.
Each connector is housed in brass for strong vibration damping and effective EMI/RF noise rejection, with a dark grey finish. Left and right channels are marked with colored enamel rings for quick identification. A double strain relief system — twin screws inside the connector chamber plus a second set securing the brass housing — clamps the bare wire and housing without any soldering, keeping installation fast and the connection mechanically solid.
Installation tip: On first use, screw the connector fully onto the binding post. The tight fit will mold to the post’s threads, maximizing surface contact for the best possible connection.
