ETI Research is the originator of the star grounding design and has a lower mass than any of the copies on the market. The hollow design enables walls with a thickness of 0.6mm on the signal pin, giving you the capability to solder the wire at the very top, which eliminates the signal from going through as much mass as on other star grounding designs.

The Brio RCA Connector is made from Tellurium Copper and is Rhodium plated for both superior conductivity and long-lasting durability that will not tarnish even after years on plugging and unplugging the connector. The housing is made from Brass for superior vibration damping and high EMI/RF noise rejection.

This combination of high-quality materials and Rhodium plating adds up to a superior RCA connector designed for use by manufacturers and consumers to enhance the range of audio cables on the market by allowing the signal to pass through with a minimum of alteration. ETI Research Kryo RCA Connector

ETI Research Kryo RCA Connectors utilise the same design as the Brio range of RCA connectors, but with Silver Plating instead of Rhodium. A Tellurium Copper and Silver combination is a hallmark of the entire Kryo line, as is of course a stringent cryogenic treatment process to ensure absolute quality and material strength over time.

ETI Research employs the Silver Plating process as Silver’s electrical resistance is lower than Copper; more so at higher frequencies due to the skin effect. And of course, when properly implemented, it’s difficult to find a superior method for audio throughput than Silver Plating of Tellurium Copper.

ETI Research Silver Link RCA Connector

The Silver LINK is the evolution of the famous Silver Bullet that has been recognised by many as the finest RCA Connector you can buy.  It is not so much as improvement on the actual connector as much as we wanted to improve the EM/RF noise rejection that is the major problem of noise unlike when the Bullet was first designed by Rob Woodland years ago. With the LINK Aluminium Housing this will help ensure keep the Audio signal clean from these influences.

The Silver LINK RCA Connector is not just another Silver RCA connector as we pride ourselves on the material and the design.

The Design

The major criteria to keep influences of the connector away is to get rid of the mass. Sound can be altered do to the capacitance and added resistance of having more mass than is needed. It is actually cheaper to build big and bulky connectors as machining is kept to a minimum. When you look at the Silver LINK connectors you can see that as much mass has been machined away to keep the audio signal from having to deal with the influences mentioned before. More of the Silver is machined away than what is left making the signal pins. Unlike most of the copies on the market the Silver LINK is hollow and while it is much more expensive to machine this way, the sound improvement is worth it.

The return pin is unique compared to the copies on the market as it is assembled by hand into the body. This helps to make sure that the Silver LINK can handle years of stress that is applied when connecting to equipment.

The Silver

This is what separates the Silver LINK from many Silver Connectors on the market. First of all the Silver LINK is pure Silver, not plated but made from pure Silver. ETI-Research sources the pure Silver from  foundry in England which custom makes the Silver rods for us to machine. While many offer what is called Silver products at a very reasonable cost,the sourcing of our Silver is important  as we are proud that it is a recognized pure Silver not just silver with purity claims.

With assay report verifying that the Silver 99.99% pure ETI-Research stands by our claim of what we supply. Now to many 99.99% pure may not seem to be that pure as claims of 99.999% and 99.9999% purity products have been “offered” for years. To get this amount of purity is very very hard and very very expensive to get. Most foundries will only supply 99.99% as this is industry standard and when Silver is sold as a commodity it is 99.99%.

Since we  supply pure Silver then the price will be indicative of the spot price on the commodity market. ETI-Research works hard at keeping the price of the Silver LINK stable and will only alter the price higher if spot price increases when we purchase. Most Silver nowadays is no more than 99.9% no matter the claims made and most likely will be even more impure if Silver prices increase in the future.

Since the return pin features a very low-mass design, to make it from ordinary Hardened Copper would not give the strength or durability required for soldering and everyday use. Therefore, the Link RCA Connector is made from Tellurium Copper, which maintains the connection strength needed to last for years and years without breakage or degradation of audio quality.

The housing of the unit is now made from aluminium. When we first started making the original Bullet we did not have to worry about all the electromagnetic radiation that is now floating around our audio systems. But today, with all the processors and switching power supplies commonly used throughout the industry, our audio systems are in a bath of noise.

This shift in industry adoption of contributors to EMI necessitated the change to Aluminium because it has very good EMI/RF noise rejection so as to keep your signal as clean as it possibly can be.

The LINK RCA Connector now has twin strain relief screws to keep your cable and the connection away from all the plugging and pulling stress many of these connectors are exposed to.

The ETI Research Nexus RCA Connector has taken a new direction for us in the premium RCA Connector market. While we are the originators of the Minimum Mass Star grounding philosophy, we believe we can make more conventional RCA Connectors that offer many of the same attributes, which so many have come to depend on for absolute sound quality.

In theory, an RCA Connector should allow audio signal to transmit with little interference or effect. However, so many RCA Connectors are made from poor conductive metals such as Brass, which can alter and degrade the signal to cause a brittle and harsh sound.

The Nexus RCA Connector is a premium RCA product that does not fall into this lower-grade category. ETI Research insists on the use of 1100 series Copper for the Signal Pin, which has an IAC Rating of 102%.

To ensure the durability needed for constantly plugging this premium RCA Connector in and out, the smooth, classy body of the Nexus is made from Tellurium Copper. This guarantees the integrity of the plug for years and years of use, with no drop in audio quality transmitted or durability of the product’s exterior.
